The Cure are to release the 1986 mix of "Boys Don't Cry," making it available digitally for the first time ever in line with it's 40th Anniversary. Initially released as a standalone single in the summer of 1979, "Boys Don't Cry" became the title track of the US edition of the band's debut album, THREE IMAGINARY BOYS. The song went on to become one of the band's signature tracks and achieved international success in 1986, when Robert Smith re-recorded the vocal and remixed the backing track. Digi-pak.
